About Us

Payson Family Pet Hospital was established in February 1997 by the Hospital’s Medical Director, Dr. Jay Dee Ipsen. The building was remodeled from Ted’s Meat Shop. Dr. Ipsen continued to grow the practice and by the next year, the facility went under construction which tripled its size!

Karli Carter started as a technician in 2005, took over as Office Manager in 2009, and became a credentialed Practice Manager in 2015. During Karli’s tenure, the practice has grown from three veterinarians to eight!

Since its establishment, Payson Family Pet Hospital has grown in parallel with the Payson area that we serve. To continue to meet the demand for veterinary services, we are now in the process of another addition to the facility.

We strive to provide the best medical care possible, in a fair, consistent, and honest manner. We are very thankful to our loyal clients and the pets that they entrust to our care.
